If It Was My Home - Visualizing the BP Oil Spill

If It Was My Home - Visualizing the BP Oil Spill

  1. I am not so good at this yet, but someone has provided me with a title apparently, so here's my answer to it.
In fact, the BP Oil Spill IS my home, and I am appalled, outraged, and saddened by it. The BP Oil Spill is EVERYONE'S home! The amount of oil spilling into our earth's ocean is so massive that it will indubitably affect every water system on this earth. Hence, it will affect every person and animal. Not to mention the soil, air and bird worlds.
How incredibly stupid must these wealthy, greedy oil characters be? There is no way to measure a thing like that, no word to describe it. I just know that it sickens me and no doubt sickens you too.
Greed is really the ultimate problem here. At risk of bragging, I work two jobs and earn less than $12,000. Canadian dollars a year. I do not own a car, and have no debt, so my expenses are minimal.
As you may have guessed, I hate politics and believe that politicians are simply well paid crooks. They just dress nicer than the Hell's Angels. Heck, I'd trust the Hell's Angels further if it came down to a choice between the two "organizations."
How bitter is that? Really I am happy with my jobs and low income and simple lifestyle. There was a time in my life when my main goal was to make money, money, money!!
Unfortunately, that quest contributed to my poor parenting skills, and did not give me or my family any more security. If I could go back and live my life over, sure I'd change some things.
If BP could go back and allow this same catastrophe to happen again, would they?
Frankly, I'm not sure I even want to know the answer to that.
